Visit Savannah Attends International Travel Show
New York City was the site for this year’s RTO Summit East, a show focused on developing and expanding international travel. Mindy Shea, Visit Savannah’s international sales director, met with over 20 companies that facilitate travel to the United States from abroad. The outlook for the return of global tourism remains positive, especially for the second half of 2022. Smaller destinations like Savannah are expected to be in higher demand than large cities as visitors look for less crowded destinations and have ample outdoor activities.
