Mindy Shea, director of tour, travel and international sales for Visit Savannah partnered with state’s tourism office to attend La Cita de Las Americas in Miami, Florida, last week. La Cita is a “by invitation” one-on-one appointment conference that provides networking opportunities for travel industry professionals–senior management buyers, suppliers and related marketing services–all who facilitate travel from Latin America to the U.S. Two days of appointments provided the opportunity to educate attendees about the merits of including Savannah on their itineraries. The Latin market continues to be one of the largest emerging international markets and Savannah is expecting to see growth from Latino travelers in the coming years.
