Visit Savannah Hosts French TV Journalists

The television program “Invitation au Voyage” on France’s ARTE Channel spent some time in Savannah last week filming a travel documentary on some of Savannah’s interesting culture. Visit Savannah board chair Vaughnnette Goode-Walker of Footprints of Savannah Walking Tours spent some time with our visitors from France talking about the contributions Africans have had on Savannah’s success.
“Invitation au Voyage” is a television program that airs daily in both France and Germany to an audience of nearly 100 million people. The show focuses on a cultural change of scenery and visited Savannah to discover our region’s Geeche/Gullah history and the impact of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil on our community. Pictured here are the program’s Pierre Duy and Anne Sedes, along with Erica Backus, director of PR for the Chamber and Visit Savannah, and Vaughnette Goode-Walker at Bonaventure Cemetery.
