Mindy Shea, Visit Savannah’s director of tour, travel, and international sales, recently accompanied representatives from around the state of Georgia in a European sales mission. The mission was arranged by the state’s tourism office, and included stops in Vienna, Zurich, and Hamburg.

During the course of the week the group participated in training sessions for nearly 75 travel counselors, and worked with some of those country’s largest tour operators to give Savannah more exposure to their travelers. There were also events and meetings with over two dozen journalists, and several articles were published about the group’s visit before they left Europe, with more articles due in the coming weeks.
