Visit Savannah’s director of tour, travel and international sales Mindy Shea recently joined 26 other representatives from around the southeast on a Travel South International sales mission to Australia and New Zealand. The group held a series of client events in Auckland, Brisbane and Sydney, drawing more than 200 travel agents and 16 top tour operators. There were several key media also invited to the events, resulting in extensive coverage of the group’s visit. Australia continues to be among the top 5 countries visiting Savannah on an annual basis with the potential for much more as awareness about our destination grows.
