Visit Savannah staff spoke at the 2016 Urban Economic Summit & Business Expo presented by the Urban Savannah Chamber of Commerce last week. Christina Smith, convention sales and destination services coordinator, and Megan White, marketing projects manager, spoke on “Opportunities in Tourism” at two of the featured sessions at Savannah State University.

The 2016 Urban Economic Summit & Business Expo was presented by Urban Savannah Chamber of Commerce and Savannah State University College of Business & The Center for Advancement of Creativity and Entrepreneurship. At the event, African-American, minority and women-owned businesses from the Southeastern region were invited to learn from experts about the opportunities that are available, especially in the Savannah market and throughout the Coastal Empire.
