Visit Savannah Sales Director Attends Travel South USA International Showcase
The 5th Annual Travel South USA International Showcase was held in Atlanta last week, featuring networking events, music, entertainment, shopping to showcase Southern hospitality to over 100 international media and qualified tour operators. Director of Tour, Travel & International Sales Mindy Shea attended and brought along Savannah favorite John Sandifer to play both Burt Reynolds in his role as Bo Darville in ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ (partially filmed in Georgia) and Sandifer’s most famous character Forrest Gump. Tour operators from 22 counties were in attendance at the Showcase this year, all of whom have a particular interest in sending travelers to the southeast.
