Last week, Visit Savannah’s Joseph Marinelli and Mindy Shea teamed up with Explore Georgia at Brand USA Travel Week in London. This prestigious event brings thousands of international travel buyers and media together to learn about U.S. destinations, helping build connections that have driven tourism for years.
Held at the iconic County Hall, Brand USA Travel Week attracted over 800 industry leaders for events like the Media Forum and CEO Summit. Mindy Shea met with over 40 top international tour operators, while Joe Marinelli engaged in CEO Summit activities.
As part of the week’s highlights, Shea and Marinelli hosted tour operators at the popular ABBA Voyage experience, a cutting-edge show in a custom-built London arena. Later, Visit Savannah, joined by the Atlanta CVB and North and South Carolina tourism offices, hosted a dinner for 50 British tour operators and journalists. Savannah’s charm and attractions were in the spotlight, aligning perfectly with European travelers’ interests (see chart), ensuring the city remains a sought-after destination for global visitors.
