Last week, Visit Savannah’s communication manager, Tanvi Chauhan, welcomed the deputy editor of ELLE Magazine, Kayla Webley Adler, to Savannah. Kayla visited alongside her mother and sister, who selected Savannah for the location of their annual family girls’ trip!
Adler and family had never visited Savannah, so they were excited to learn about our classic restaurants and museums, and also dive into the new and happening stuff. At breakfast, she told Chauhan how thrilled she was to pay homage to the founder at Juliet Gordon Low’s Birthplace Museum. Adler reminisced her girls’ scout days growing up. Adler also loved the idea of carrying her drinks to-go and becoming the weekend connoisseur of the best biscuits ‘n gravy in town, as she terribly missed that delicacy in New York. They all expressed great excitement over our new Plant Riverside District which is buzzing with galleries, shops, and rooftops, merely steps away from The Alida Hotel where they were staying.
Adler has been with ELLE for about two years now. She edits cover stories, profiles, and narrative features on politics, culture, crime, and social trends. Previously, she worked as the Features Director at Marie Claire magazine and as a Staff Writer at TIME magazine.
We thank her for visiting our city and we look forward to repeated visits. There is always so much classic and cool stuff happening in Savannah!
