Jenny Dent, Visit Savannah’s chief of staff and executive assistant, was honored last week by Savannah Technical College as a 2019 Community Star. The Community Star Award celebrates distinguished men and women from all walks of life who make the community a better place to live and work. From dedicated employees, to elected officials, to longtime volunteers, to nonprofit leaders and visionaries, Savannah Technical College has celebrated more than 275 Stars over the years. Previous honorees include Visit Savannah’s president Joseph Marinelli (2010), the Chamber’s office manager and director of Leadership Savannah Margaret Mary Russell (2016) and director of PR for both the Chamber and Visit Savannah Erica Backus (2018).
