Last Week, Visit Savannah’s Visitor Information Center staff toured The Davenport House Museum, a property of The Historic Savannah Foundation.
As part of the visitor center’s ongoing effort to keep up with all that is old and new in Savannah, a fresh tour of The Davenport House was one of the many things on the list. Jamie Credle, the Director of the Davenport House Museum, graciously invited the staff to start the tour at The Kennedy Pharmacy and the new Preservation Hall, where the original seven ladies who started the preservation movement in Savannah are honored.
Sheena Fulkerson, the tour coordinator, took the visitor center staff through the Davenport House explaining a lot of the family history as well as showing many of the architectural details.
