Visit Tybee and Visit Savannah staff hit the waves on Tybee’s North Beach to take surfing lessons in the middle of the summer season. Led by Turner Horton, the owner of Tybee Surf Lessons, the staff enjoyed learning about beach safety, rip currents, and most importantly, how to surf. This Tybee Island surf school offers private surf lessons, group surf lessons, surf camps, stand up paddleboarding lessons and ukulele lessons. This session helped familiarize staff from both organizations with surfing on Tybee Island.
